The latest season of Voltron: Legendary Defender is all about some major status quo shake-ups—especially for our heroes, still smarting from the surprising disappearance of team leader and Shiro at the end of season 2. But in our exclusive clip from the new season, you can see the moment they move on and find a new leader for the team.

It’s not that easy to pick a new Paladin for the team, especially as bonding with a Voltron Lion is something that requires the mecha itself to agree to. Unfortunately, you can’t just have a vote and hand over a giant transforming robot. So each remaining member of the team, even Princess Allura, has to try out getting a feel for the dormant Lion... some more comically than others, admittedly.

But as ever with Legendary Defender, things aren’t always that simple for Team Voltron—and as you can see in the clip above, the rise of a new Black Lion pilot raises a few more issues for the team.

I know this is a weird complaint, and probably flies in the face of the original series that I was never old enough to really follow, but: CHANGE YOUR COLORS. Come on, three out of five of the pilots now have suits that don’t match their lions and weapons that don’t match their suits! Y’all gotta get coordinated if you don’t want to lose face in front of all the other Super Sentai teams!

It’s really bothering me. I know it’s not important. But it’s bothering me.
