Spider-Man: Homecoming

Director Jon Watts that Tony Revolori is indeed playing Peter Parker’s original nemesis, high school bully Flash Thompson. Meanwhile, Laura Harrier and Jacob Batalon were introduced as playing Liz and Ned respectively, who are likely a nod to original Spider-Man supporting characters Liz Allen and Ned Leeds from the comics. James Bond

Idris Elba throws water on the rumors that he’s being lined up to replace Daniel Craig as James Bond, telling Good Morning America:

I think I’m too old for that, man — running around in cars, and ladies and martinis. Who wants that? Sounds terrible.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Will Beall has returned to script the latest draft of the movie, working off of a treatment from director James Wan. Previously, Beall was one of the several writers drafting scripts for the movie, and moved on from the project to write Training Day for CBS.


Pepe Le Pew

Max Landis told audiences at the Dirk Gently Comic-Con panel that he is writing a movie based on the amorous cartoon skunk. [Deadline]

Legends of Tomorrow

Katie Cassidy has struck a deal to somehow appear as a series regular on Arrow, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow, despite the fact that Laurel Lance perished in the last season of Arrow. [CBR]


Meanwhile, Marc Guggenheim has confirmed that Stephen Amell will appear in the opening of Legends of Tomorrow’s second season:

We’re going to see Mr. Stephen Amell playing Oliver Queen right at the beginning. Actually, Mayor Oliver Queen.



Bates Motel

Rihanna has been cast as Marion Crane in the show’s next season.

Archie Comics Chief Creative Officer and Riverdale producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa teases what’s to come on the show:

There is a very taboo slumber party that happens in Episode 7 where many of the kids will be kissing.

Jim Gordon is “Batman”, it’s the ONLY way we will ever get to see a Batman on this show. It’s not going to last ten years, we aren’t going to follow Bruce on his journey long enough to become Batman. I refuse to watch a show so long, that in the final shot we see a blurry image of the superhero drop into frame, right before the finale executive producer credit. Gordon is Batman... period.
