Illustration for article titled Which Animated Series Must Never Get A Live-Action Movie?

Tons of classic animated series have become live-action films, including the Smurfs, Garfield, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. And often... it doesn't work out that great. But which animated series or cartoon must never, ever become a live-action movie? Ever?

Please include a picture or clip (or comics panel) for your chosen cartoon or animated series that must never become live-action. And please mention the name, and why it's so unsuited to the live-action format. Thanks!

Calvin & Hobbes: I don't care how amazing the CGI is. I don't care about how awesome it would be to see Spaceman Spiff on the big screen. I don't care about seeing the story advance or answering the question on Hobbes's existance. I don't care. I don't want to see my favorite comic strip ruined by the Hollywood schlock machine. It would have to be something as amazing as GOTG to make it worth it and i have my doubts of Hollywood striking lightning twice like they did with that movie.
