Where abandoned arcade video game cabinets go to die

If you're a fan of upright arcade cabinets, you may want to avert your eyes. Photographer Thomas Schultz documents the dust gathering and decay of a handful of abandoned classic games, including Atari's Star Wars and Sega's Zaxxon.

Schultz found these cabinets rotting away in Arizona. If you look at the full set of photos on Flickr, you can see an old sign advertising video games in the corner. Perhaps these were once part of a larger game room, and these cabinets never made it out when the business went other. Now Wreck-It Ralph has me anthropomorphizing these old games. Did all of their sentient polygons make it out before the games got unplugged?
