When Daenerys Targaryen Sings 'MMMBop' in Dothraki, You Listen

Emilia Clarke stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers to promote Game of Thrones, a struggling TV show that needs the attention. Once you get past the normal talk show banter and Meyers’ leading questions to an anecdote that they obviously previously agreed to discuss, you are treated to something spectacular: Emilia Clarke singing Hanson’s hit “Mmmbop” in the Dothraki language.

It begins at about 2:50 in the above video if you want to skip ahead. I eagerly await the film editing genius who takes Daenerys’ triumphant emergence from the flames of the Vaes Dothraki tent a couple of episodes ago, and adds this song to it, so it appears all the Dothraki are so awed by her musical talents that they are compelled to kneel before her.

Calling that “singing” the song is kind of a stretch.

You made me watch two and a half minutes of Emilia Clarke smiling and laughing for no payoff, and I regret nothing.
