What if Your Tech Guy Was A Vigilante Hacker At Night, Behold Mr. Robot

Trailer FrenzyA special place to find the newest trailers for movies and TV shows you're craving.

Yes, yes there are a lot of television shows out today about attractive hackers doing devious deeds at night. However, unlike the others, Mr Robot actually looks good. Feast your eyes on an early look at this new USA series.

It stars Rami Malek as an exceedingly intense young man who just can’t help but rifle through your private online life, in the name of justice of course. Maybe this is all just a send up to Malek’s talent, but I really couldn’t take my eyes off of him in this back-and-forth delivery in the above sneak preview.

Perhaps this series, which is going to air on USA on June 24th, deserves a moment of our time. Plus it has Christian Slater in it, so by Heathers law you all must watch at least one episode. Here’s the official synopsis and another interesting trailers.

About: MR. ROBOT is a psychological thriller that follows Elliot (Rami Malek, “24”), a young programmer, who works as a cyber security engineer by day and a vigilante hacker by night. Elliot finds himself at a crossroads when the mysterious leader (Christian Slater, “The Adderall Diaries”) of an underground hacker group recruits him to destroy the corporation he is paid to protect. Compelled by his personal beliefs, Elliot struggles to resist the chance to take down the multinational CEOs he believes are running (and ruining) the world. The series also stars Portia Doubleday (“Her”), Carly Chaikin (“Suburgatory”) and Martin Wallström (“Simple Simon”).

Why does every IT security person on TV have to be weird? It isn’t like being somewhere on the Autism spectrum is a job requirement. If TV truly cast to stereotype they would all be pudgy middle-aged bald guys with goatees trying to schedule a Pen Test around their kid’s soccer game.
