The darkly funny animated short Monsieur COK is, on its surface, a tale of workers rebelling against the greedy bomb factory owner who replaced them with robots. But its grandiose Art Deco environments, peculiar automata, and grim humor help build a world where anyone is disposable.

Franck Dion directed Monsieur COK in 2008, after which it made the rounds at various film festivals. It's a wonderfully strange animation, especially when it comes to the freakish industrialist who fully believes that his soaring profits will make him invincible.
