Here’s a film to close out the weekend with: Francis Ford Coppola’s first ever film, Battle Beyond The Sun, which came out in 1959.

The interesting thing about this movie: it’s originally a Soviet science fiction movie. In 1962, Roger Corman acquired the rights, and hired Coppola out of film school to recut and ‘westernize’ it.
