Watch Bilbo face off with a giant, invisible dragon on the Hobbit set

The latest behind-the-scenes Hobbit video blog is out, showcasing just how difficult it must have been for Martin Freeman to act against the giant nothingness that was Smaug. Plus, check out five clips from the actual film itself.

We love these video blogs Peter Jackson puts out, mostly for the insane access they give to fans and for the amazing things they reveal (like when the re-recoding mixer is basically told by his boss to get back to work!). It's really cute, plus it gives the audience a chance to see the many talented people that have to do so many extraordinary things to create this movie. Like Martin Freeman, alone in a green room, being told to act like he's being interrogated by a giant, fire-breathing dragon. Plus, it gives us a quick look at Benedict Cumberbatch (Smaug) on set. Fingers crossed we'll get to see his behind-the-scenes work soon.

And here are five clips from The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug to get you excited as well.
