Sushi chef Okistugu Kado carves vegetable garnishes into Star Wars characters, Pokemon, and superheroes. They're the perfect accompaniment for sushi rolls from both the Light and Dark sides of the Force.

When Okistugu isn't slicing up sushi at Sushi Bistro Minayoshi in Kadoma, Osaka, he's blogging about his crafty edible creations. You can learn how to carve your own carrot Darth Vader, or just admire the vegetable Gundam Suits, Spider-Men, and Star Wars ships.

That carrot Spiderman and potato (?) Tauntaun are both astounding. Plus points for the Vader roll, though it looks like a mash-up of the Sith Lord and Hello Kitty. He could have used squid ink on the rice to make it black.

But what about Sushi Slave Leia? I'm sure more than a few would want to bite into that.
