ABC's new reboot of beautiful-but-secretly-evil aliens epic V is shutting down production for two weeks, which won't affect its November 3 launch date. This could just be a breathing space — or it could mean the producers need to stop and rethink some storylines, as happened with Dollhouse before its launch. Says production company Warner Bros. TV: "We will take advantage of our November premiere to maximize creative opportunities and deliver the audience the best show possible." [EW]
Maybe they realized that they still had time to do the right thing and just use the giant alien spacecraft CGI for an adaptation of Childhood's End. It's still not too late, since they won't have to even have any Overlord CGI ready until the season finale.
