Usagi Yojimbo slashes his way through his own samurai side-scrolling mobile game

It's been 25 since Stan Sakai's ronin rabbit Miyamoto Usagi, star of the comic book Usagi Yojimbo, graced the video game world with his katana-wielding skills. But now Usagi has made the leap to the mobile gaming platform in his very own game, Usagi Yojimbo: Way of the Ronin.

Way of the Ronin was created by HappyGiant in collaboration with Sakai and Dark Horse comics, and nicely, they've opted for a 2D side-scrolling approach based on Sakai's artwork. Usagi travels through 13 levels of cartoon Edo-period Japan, battling warriors, demons, and all manner of warriors.

Currently, the game is an iOS exclusive, available for $1.99 from the iTunes store, but according to the game's website, an Android version should be available in a few weeks.
