In 1988, two fans of Star Trek: The Next Generation broke onto the Paramount lot and wandered through the Enterprise sets, filming a homemade documentary as they went along. They also caused a little accidental mayhem along the way.
These Stage 9 Interlopers certainly don't seem prepared for their unauthorized behind-the-scenes look at the Enterprise, and "Captain Stone," who appears on camera, is none too pleased with his untested cameraman's skills. And while they did manage to get some of the sets lit, they weren't too careful with what they found, knocking over a heavy sickbay prop at one point during the filming. These fellows never did get a chance to edit their documentary, though; they were apparently chased off the set and left their camcorder behind.

DISCUSSION
This presents so many follow up questions! First, were these guys ever identified/caught? How did this footage surface? Why didn't I think of this? It's clear these guys are fans, but their lack of respect for the equipment/props is concerning. I guess had I been in their place, I'd have taken a more Indiana Jones approach (aka "This belongs in a museum!"), but you have to admire their guts. I'd like to know more about the story behind this footage. Cool story.
