Trailer For Crimson Peak Shows How Guillermo Del Toro Does Gothic Horror

Trailer FrenzyA special place to find the newest trailers for movies and TV shows you're craving.

We've been waiting for Guillermo del Toro to tackle the gothic horror genre for just about all of his career. And now here it is in the Crimson Peak trailer, and it's all sex and high-necked dresses and Tom Hiddleston and, oh yeah, GHOSTS. Shit is going to get kinky and weird and we cannot wait.

The movie is a supernatural period drama set inside a house GDT built from the ground up in Canada. Of course, nothing is as it seems, yada yada yada. A lot of really fucked up shit happens and (as you can see in the trailer) there are ghosts and exceedingly sexual scenes, which is pretty new for GDT. In our previous interview with the director he explained his excitement for this adult film:

"It's the first adult movie I do in English. You know, because even with the R rating, I can hardly call "Blade" an adult film. It's the first time I've tried to marry the "Pan's Labyrinth" and "Devil's Backbone" sensibilities with a larger cast and larger budget."...

We've been dying to see GDT work in this world. Fingers crossed, everyone.

Sigh. SO EXCITED. The Comic Con exhibit was the coolest thing ever. So many of the shots gave me the sorrowful reminder that a GDT Silent Hill movie would be the best thing ever. MAKES ME NEED TO PLAY HIS SH GAME SO BAD
