Daniel Craig has been vocal about wanting to walk away from the James Bond franchise for a while now, and it’s looking likely that Tom Hiddleston will be the next 007.

According to Birth.Death.Movies, Hiddleston is in “advanced talks” to take on the role of 007. This isn’t too much of a surprise: Bond is a role that he’s talked about playing, and bookies have already been betting on him to become Bond. Along with what feels like every British actor in existence.

Hiddleston has already established some great performances in productions such as The Night Manager and High-Rise, and it’d be quite a change to see him after Daniel Craig. He’s also a fairly familiar face as a villain in a more recent giant franchise, so a transition to playing an action hero would definitely be interesting.

I just want the movies to be fun again. We had darker and edgier, and sure, we needed that after the Brosnan era. But after the dumpster fire that was Spectre, I just want a fun Bond movie that doesn’t suck.

A tall order, I know. But please?
