This Is What a 70s Guardians of the Galaxy Cartoon Would've Looked Like

We're actually going to get an animated Guardians show on Disney XD this year, but had the characters been in the very gifted hands of Hanna-Barbera decades ago, this is totally what it would have looked like.

"Hanna Barbardians of the Galaxy" is by Jay Fosgitt, who explains on the work's deviantART page:

The Guardians of the Galaxy, envisioned as a 1970's Hanna Barbera cartoon. That's teenage Pebbles and Bamm Bamm as Gamora and Star Lord, Muttley as Rocket, Captain Caveman as Drax, and Grape Ape as Groot. I added a distressed texture to give this piece a vintage "garage sale" look.

Excuse me, I'm going to go watch Guardians and every old cartoon I can find.

Ugh, no, no, no, no, no, a thousand times no. I'm probably going to get a ton of shit for this, but I say keep those fucking hacks away from anything decent. I hate Hanna Barbera with a steaming passion. They've done two things well. They gave us the original Tom & Jerry, and they made a great backstory/intro to Thundarr the Barbarian. Other than that their shows and characters suck, and they all need to die in a fire. A forest fire at Jellystone Park.
