This is excellent. They're doing audio versions of three of the Earthsea books, along with The Left Hand of Darkness. Plus a new radio documentary, Ursula Le Guin at 85.

The programming gets underway with a documentary about Le Guin's influence on the sci-fi and fantasy genres, presented by author and journalist Naomi Alderman and featuring contributions from Neil Gaiman ( Sandman, Coraline) and David Mitchell (Cloud Atlas, Black Swan Green). That's arriving on Thursday the 9th of April at 11.30am on BBC Radio 4.


The Left Hand Of Darkness, set among planet Winter's ambigendered alien society, has been dramatised for radio by Judith Adams, starring Lesley Sharp (Clocking Off, Afterlife, Doctor Who), Toby Jones (Berberian Sound Studio, The Detectorists, Doctor Who) and Sherlock's Louise Brealey. That's scheduled to air on Sunday the 12th of April at 3pm on BBC Radio 4.
