We’re officially two weeks out from the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens and the last thing you probably want are spoilers, minor as they may be. Nevertheless, some new info about Captain Phasma has been revealed. Minor spoilers for The Force Awakens follow.

The Los Angeles Times has a great article about the women of the new Star Wars universe and in it, speaking about the Chrome Stormtrooper played by Game of Thrones star Gwendoline Christie, the article says the following:

[Lucasfilm President Kathleen] Kennedy has big plans for Phasma and confirmed that the captain will carry on into the next movie. “She’s an important character, a baddie in the best sense of the word.”

Well, there you go. Captain Phasma will likely survive The Force Awakens. Which is awesome because rumor has it she doesn’t have a huge role this time around, and yet she’s already one of the most popular characters. The Boba Fett of this generation, perhaps.

And while we know the character’s immediate fate, we still don’t know if we’ll see Christie’s face in the film. Or what role the character plays. The good news is, the wait for answers is shorter than ever.

“The Boba Fett of this generation, perhaps.”

I’m not saying she’ll be a horrible character or anything, but can we at least see Phasma in action before crowing her as such? Otherwise we’re just kinda being amused by shiny objects. Literally.
