Hmmm. I wonder why that could be?

Marvel has announced, through The Hollywood Reporter, that Danny Rand will be getting his own solo series once again next year, following the end of The Living Weapon in 2015. Written by Ed Brisson and with art by Mike Perkins, the book will follow not follow the events of Danny’s current series with Luke Cage, Power Man and Iron Fist, but directly build off the events in The Living Weapon, which featured the near-destruction of K’un-Lun.

Simply titled Iron Fist, the series will see Danny leave the U.S. and go on a globetrotting journey of self-discovery, only to discover a mysterious island home to a group of people with a deep knowledge of the history of the Iron Fist and the wielders of its power. It seems like it’s going to take a good long look at how Danny sees himself as a hero and as the Iron Fist, which seems like a perfect stepping stone for people who become interested in the character after the Netflix show drops in the same month.
