Morning SpoilersIf there’s news about upcoming movies and television you’re not supposed to know, you’ll find it in here.

Could Chris Pine join the DC movieverse in a role different than what we previously thought? Plus, teasers for Wayward Pines and Penny Dreadful, and Arnold Schwarzenegger cuts his own Terminator Genisys trailer. Spoilers are here!

Avengers: Infinity War Parts I & II

An alleged casting call for the film has gone out, with a brief plot description for the first film in the duology—introducing a new villain alongside Thanos:

The film is the first in a two-part sequel, in which Thanos plays a major role, along with the Magus. Adam Warlock’s bad side, the Magus, separates from his body and assembles the Infinity Gauntlet. Magus creates doppelgangers of Earth’s heroes as part of his plan to recreate a universe of evil.

As the casting call says, in the comics the Magus is an embodiment of the dark side of cosmic hero (and Guardians of the Galaxy member) Adam Warlock, who’s given physical form after the character acquires the Infinity Gauntlet. As ever with rumors like this, take this with a major pinch of salt. [Spoiler TV]

Channing Tatum talks about the film’s different approach to the superhero genre:

I really have some things in mind, but who knows — it’s pretty fluid at this point. I do believe that [director] Rupert [Wyatt] and I have the exact same vision of what we want to do. We want it to be different. I think Gambit is a really specific sort of character to not do some of these other things that some of the other superheroes kind of have to do. It’s who they are. I think his character lends itself to doing something maybe slightly different.

Green Lantern

Following on from yesterday’s rumors about the film featuring multiple human Green Lanterns, Latino Review has also chimed in, adding that they have heard it will only be two human Lanterns: Hal Jordan and John Stewart. They also state that Chris Pine is up to play Jordan—and that recent rumors about the actor being cast as Steve Trevor in Wonder Woman were a front to audition him for Green Lantern.

Terminator Genisys

There’s a snifter of new footage in this TV spot, purpotedly “exclusively edited” by Mr. Schwarzenegger himself.

Here’s a new featurette where the cast and crew discuss the premise of the film.

Actual question: I quit reading the X-Men religiously quite a while ago, so... is Gambit still a thing? I kind of associate him with the epitome of ‘90s Marvel + mutants (Gambit, Gambit & Rogue angst, early Deadpool, Cable’s X-Force, etc). Is he still popular? Enough to warrant a movie?

I don’t know why, but this whole Gambit Gets A Movie thing is fascinating to me.
