For months we thought the Wachowskis' next super-secret science fiction project, titled Jupiter Ascending, was dead, after the Natalie Portman rumors died out. But it sounds like we could be going to Jupiter after all!
According to Deadline, now that the Wachowskis are done shooting Cloud Atlas, they're ready to move on to their next "major science fiction action franchise since the Matrix," Jupiter Ascending. Warner Bros. has officially offered the leading roles in Jupiter to Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis. Production should start later on this year. The plot is very hush hush, but a few years back there were whispers that the whole thing was centered around future Earth's warring colonies. But nothing has been confirmed. Could the Wachowskis help bring back space war as a viable genre?
