If your enjoyment of John Carpenter's remake of The Thing has always been hampered by the fact that you didn't know anything about the origins of the shapechanging killer alien, then relax; help is on the way, courtesy of an upcoming prequel to the 1982 classic.Latino Review talked to director Marc Abraham, who's working on the new movie. Responding to a question about whether the movie was, as rumored, a remake, Abraham said,
This is more of a prequel than a sequel, there is your exclusive. Its going to be taking place in the same time frame... These are the events leading up to the 1982 film.
