The Subway is a slot canyon at Zion National Park in Utah. It’s the kind of natural phenomena that looks so beautiful it’s almost otherworldly. You can imagine catching a supernatural train to the underworld here.

The Subway was formed by water rushing through the rock, creating not just the the tunnel-shaped but the shallow pools in the floor. Light, leaves, water, and stone all mean that the tunnel never photographs the same way twice.

In related new, Subway has announced announced it will soon be opening new locations in all 9 circles of Hell. According to the official press release, “Whether blown about by eternal winds, sealed in ever-burning tombs, or trapped forever in the gnawing jaws of the Great Beast itself, all denizens of the underworld will soon be able to enjoy a healthy and delicious Five Dollar Footlong.” Market analysts are expecting particularly high profits in the third circle.
