I will NEVER get tired of images like that. One thing that has astonished me....SF painting and other artwork before Hubble was almost never as colorful, textured, complex, and utterly beautiful than even the most talented professionals who imagined the uncharted depths. I have loved Chesley Bonestell’s work since childhood...can you imagine what he’d have done with these for inspiration? Or from what we have learned since?

This makes me think of the amazing array of what the Cassini probe has sent us. Bonestell gave us this stunning product of his imagination:

But who could have imagined we’d get this jaw-dropping image of Saturn?
