If you were in the habit of stereotyping, you might assume a knight of great stature would ride upon a shining Clydesdale. But in point of fact, many animals are worthy steeds. Even chickens, if they are big enough.
This majestic bit of satire was created by illustrator Murray Tinkelman, whose work has graced the covers of H.P. Lovecraft and Louis Lamour novels, as well as the pages of the New York Times and publications of the U.S. National Parks Service. He's now teaching illustration at Hartford Art School.
