All hail the king. Kendrick Lamar and Top Dawg Entertainment have released the album they cultivated and produced for Black Panther, and itā€™s about to become your regular playlist for the next week, and then some.

Black Panther: The Album has got to be one of the best comic book soundtracks thatā€™s been released in years. Honestly, it might be the best, as I canā€™t think of any albums from the MCU or DCEU franchises that manage to surpass itā€”apart from perhaps Marvel TVā€™s Luke Cage soundtrack. Granted, Guardians of the Galaxy is known for its solid mixtapes, but Lamar has gone one step further and created something new thatā€™s not only strong and passionate but also brings Wakanda to the center stage. Itā€™s a musical journey through the film and its story.

A couple of standouts include Lamarā€™s performance on ā€œBlack Panther,ā€ the harmonies and flow on ā€œBloody Waters,ā€ the opening verse on ā€œKingā€™s Dead,ā€ and ā€œRedemption Interlude.ā€ However, the song thatā€™s really stuck in my brain, and probably will be for the rest of the weekend, is ā€œPray For Meā€ fea.uring The Weeknd and Lamar. I have no doubt is going to be the next single from the album, as it well should be. Itā€™s a gorgeous track! Be sure to comment with your favorites from the album below.

You can stream Black Panther: The Album on Spotify, as seen below, and hereā€™s a bunch of places you can buy it.
