The Jurassic World Sequel is Likely Getting a Name Change (Updated)

Earlier this week, we learned that Jurassic World’s sequel will be directed by J.A. Bayona, who’s The Impossible, The Orphanage, and A Monster Calls, and that it probably won’t be called Jurassic World 2.

A fan site found a recent interview with Bayona, who translated the interview and found that the title of the film would be something other than Jurassic World 2. Some other tidbits that they gleaned from the interview is that Bayona has been working with Jurassic World’s Colin Trevorrow, and that they’re working on building from the film.

Hopefully, the new title will be a bit more inspired. I’m hoping for Jurassic Ops, where they rig up the velociraptors for war zones. That’s certainly something that they hinted at in Jurassic World.

Update: we reported that there was a teaser poster for the film: the image was really something for the site.

Looks like the second letter is a “U”....

‘Jurassic Outback’?
‘Jurassic Oubliette’?
‘Jurassic Outer Space’?
