If you’re half-Vulcan, half-human, go ahead and grab a box of tissues before you hit play. Because honestly, if you still miss the dearly departed Leonard Nimoy, this will tug at your heartstrings like they were a Vulcan lute.
The first teaser for Adam Nimoy’s documentary about his father—and specifically the legacy he created playing Spock in Star Trek—already had our lips quivering, but this full trailer has us verklempt. It’s alright until you start getting to the moment Nimoy asks the cast and crew of Star Trek from the recent movies (and a few of his father’s former colleagues) to describe his dad in a single word, at which point tears are the only logical response
For the Love of Spock will be available to stream online from September 9th.
DISCUSSION
Met him at a con, didn’t have a chance to speak to him because there were just too many people for him wanting autos. By the end of the day he’d signed just under 4,000 signatures. He would just sign his name and then flicked the photo at you, shake and bake. No muss no fuss.
