The bootleg Brazilian animation of Video Brinquedo

Yesterday we paid tribute to confounding news of Taiwan's Next Media Animation. Today, we salute the cheapo rip-offs of Brazil's Video Brinquedo, that stalwart animation house notorious for its shameless rip-offs of Disney, Pixar, and Universal animated films.

At Video Brinquedo, the quality of their films is only matched with their flicks' creativity. Be sure to check out Video Brinquedo's $1 store knock-offs of Robots, Transformers, Ratatouille, Cars, and The Princess and the Frog. Here's What's Up: Balloon to the Rescue...

...and Little Princess School. Seriously, they didn't even pretend here.

I saw their Ratatouille rip off once whilst casually surfing the internets. Man, I think Dire Strait's "Money For Nothin'" featured better CG.

I looked into it further, and was surprised to find that the U.S. dub featured respected voice actors Mike Pollock, Dan Green and Lisa Ortiz (well... as respected as 4Kids VAs can get, anyway). In fact, these three are prominent in the other rip-offs, too.

Apparently, Video Brinquedo has the Brazilian rights to various 4Kids-Licensed properties; I guess in return 4Kids supplies the actors for the English dub of Video Brinquedo's "works".
