Find out what movie scripts Hollywood is bouncing up and down about — but not actually ponying up money to produce — right now. The infamous Black List, of the year's hottest unproduced screenplays, is out now.
And no big surprise here — the list is stuffed with science fiction and fantasy themes, from a unique twist on Star Wars to a movie about going to see the movie Jurassic Park.
The Black List is sourced from over 300 film executives (the organizer, Franklin Leonard, being a former Universal exec himself). Each member submits their favorite unproduced script (up to ten allowed). The list has helped shine a bit of light on lots of different films (50/50, Bad Teacher, The Beaver and The Descendants were all on the list). So, fingers crossed we'll be seeing some of the films below in the next few years.
