The Batman v Superman VFX Reel Makes You Appreciate the Movie So Much More

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice may only be 27 percent “Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes, but I’d bet the percentage of people impressed by the visual effects is much higher.

No matter what you think of the film overall, there’s little denying the effects work is impressive. Sure, some of it (like Doomsday) is distracting, but this new video will amaze you by the sheer amount of effects in the film. Here you’ll see a lot of detail work and set extension, as well some full action scenes too. If you’re like me, it’ll give you a new appreciation of the craft that went into the troubled blockbuster.

That’s just the work of one effects house, too. (Scanline VFX, if you missed it). There were certainly lots of others who added their hard work to the film’s visuals. Now, if only the same amount of hard work was applied to the... nope. Just going to leave it there. It’s the holidays, after all.

Makes me sad that people don’t appreciate this kinda stuff to begin with. A lot of “bad” movies from the past few years have incredible visual effects (read: Jupiter Ascending, Gods of Egypt, etc.), which go widely unappreciated.
