Yeah, don't get too excited. Because this isn't connecting DC's TV universe to its cinematic universe, Henry Cavill will definitely not be showing up on TV in his Superman costume, and because the new Supergirl show has figured out a way to minimize the Man of Steel as much as possible.

Here's the newest casting call for Berlanti's Supergirl:

We are looking for BODY DOUBLE for a DC Comic Superhero โ€“

You must be available for an interview this Thursday and if selected will work several day during March.

This is for a CBS pilot. You can be SAG or Non-Union.

You should be 5'11 or taller and be Square Jawed and have a ripped physique.

You must send a bodyshot, shirtless, sizes, current contact info and your first five to [email deleted] โ€“ in the subject line write SUPERMAN

Some people have suggested Superman will be seen in a few action shots โ€” perhaps as TV footage of Kara's famous cousin saving Metropolis or some such โ€” but I'd bet that Supergirl and Superman have a scene or two together, where we only see Superman in 3/4th profile from the back, so we can't see his face. Meaning Supergirl will feature about as much Superman as the entirety of Smallville did, which is to say "barely any." Because for some reason Warner Bros. is just terrified of putting DC's two biggest superheroes on TV screens.

Well, at least they're not trying to make a show where Supergirl exists but Superman somehow doesn't, which I was vaguely worried about for a while.
