Star Wars' Final Scene Is Ridiculously Awkward Without Music

Take out the triumphant score from John Williams, throw in a little foley work, and the throne room scene from A New Hope becomes a steaming pile of uncomfortable silence. This is way funnier than it has any right to be.

Admittedly, this is why the band plays "Pomp and Circumstance" for a freakin' hour at a school graduation, and why military reviews don't really let up on the music until it's the speaker's turn. It's a pretty old convention, because who wants to sit through a boring ceremony without something to liven up the awkward silence?

This is hilarious.
