Spend The Evening Learning About The Making Of Your Favorite Movies

Here's a three-hour documentary about the making of Aliens in 1986, called Superior Firepower. Made in 2003, it features insane amounts of behind-the-scenes footage that reveal quite how ambitious a project this film was, and how much bigger it was than Alien. But that's not the only "making of" featurette on Youtube.

Here are a number of other amazing documentaries about the making of your favorite films:

I've already spent a rainy and sick weekend watching all the Alien/Aliens docos online... well worth it, especially so that now when I watch them with other people I can bust out "factoids" every five seconds, like "did you know that the APC was made from an aircraft towing tractor?" or "James Cameron spent two whole days getting the sound of the M56 right?" or "the spacesuited figures standing at the base of the Nostromo are actually Ridley's children?"

EDIT: I am the only one who seems to appreciate said "factoids"...
