Someone Just Made a New Episode of the 1980s He-Man Cartoon

Confused? Understandably. But Super7, purveyors of all sorts of nerdy nostalgia, have clearly done a shocking amount of work to make this as authentic a version of the original He-Man and the Masters of the Universe animated series as possible, right down to Skeletor’s insults of his minions. Watch this trailer and see for yourself!

Super7 hasn’t released a lot of details yet, but I have a strong suspicion that’s Skeletor’s original voice actor, Alan Oppenheimer, reprising the role. They’re debuting the full episode, titled “Curse of the Three Terrors,” next week at the San Diego Comic-Con (naturally). If you’re attending and interested, the screening will be an undisclosed location at the “corner of 8th Ave & G” in downtown San Diego, at 10:00 pm (PT) on Wednesday night. It’s probably far less sketchy than it sounds.

I’m almost disappointed it isn’t made from 100% recycled He-Man art cells. I mean, how many of the exact same slightly retinted rock monsters did He-Man end up fighting anyways?
