If you've ever fantasized about living in the world of the Mad Max movies, you owe it to yourself to get to the California desert in late September for the annual Road Warrior-inspired festival. This year's Wasteland Weekend promises crazier punk fetishwear... and huge-ass Road Warrior gates with ginormous weaponry.
Check out our exclusive gallery of new Wasteland Weekend photos... including the naughtiest Tina Turner impersonator you've ever seen. And some highly impractical (but ultra-sexy) post-apocalyptic survival gear. Not to mention some drool-worthy shots of those huge new gates, and the terrifying weapons that sit atop them. Warning: Some photos are a tad NSFW!

Wasteland Weekend is happening September 23-25 this year in the California desert. And if you buy your tickets before midnight Sunday evening, you can get them for the lower price of $70.
Adam Chilson (who took several of these photos) is the guy who built this incredibly elaborate set of gates in one of Southern California's desert communities, sporting eight-foot-tall steel doors. By the time the whole shebang is ready to be disassembled and reconstructed at the Wasteland Weekend, the flamethrower and ballista (giant crossbow) will be fully operational, and there'll be another tower and some wall extensions. Chilson is also the production designer for Wasteland Weekend as a whole.
Check out some more photos of Chilson's amazing gates, plus some totally insane post-apocalyptic fetishwear, in our exclusive gallery. More details about the event at the link. [Wasteland Weekend]
