We already got a denial from the BBC of the rumor about Johnny Depp starring as the Doctor in a big-screen Doctor Who film, but now Russell T. Davies himself tells SFX Magazine that it's rubbish:
Someone sits in New Zealand, types out a rumour, and I spend the next three days dealing with that rumour!
Except apparently he said that with a few more expletives.
