See The Alternate Opening Of How To Train Your Dragon 2 In Comic Form

The acclaimed sequel to How to Train Your Dragon originally had a very different prologue, highlighting the movie's new characters and dragons. One story artist shows us how that opening could have looked by drawing a comic version of the whole thing.

Inspired by director Dean DeBlois' earlier script and ideas, Johane Matte has posted her fan-comic (not official comic) adaptation of one version of the alternate prologue, which would have introduced use to the dragon trapper Eret and the dragon-defending vigilante Valka earlier in the film. You can see the first part below and the second, third, fourth, and fifth parts on Matte's Tumblr.

I preferred they way they did it. Sometimes it's best not to watch all the dominoes get set up first before you knock over the first one.
