Seeing as how westerns and samurai movies influenced star wars to begin with, I had always wanted there to be some civilization in the galaxy that was very samurai-like, with their own weapons that are either like katana lightsabers or some other kind of energy blade. I know a bent blade lightsaber might be too much to handle, but ive seen in the clone wars cartoon (i know i know) that one or two characters had...i think they called them void blades. They were a kind of energy weapon, but instead of being a beam of light, it was like some kind of flat, shaped, energy blade. That would work instead of a true lightsaber.

Also, why are there no large, two-handed lightsabers? Sure a zweihander lightsaber would be very odd, but at this point, its kinda like "oh well, might as well enjoy the craziness"
