Rambo is finally doing away with old-veteran flashbacks.. and maybe replacing them with a super-soldier/wolf-people smackdown. Apparently Rambo 4's total death count of 236 (see graph!) has earned the anti-hero a spot in science fiction. Spoilers for Rambo 5 below.
It is set in the Pacific Northwest. Back in the general area where we first were introduced to John. It seems that somewhere in that Area there is a U.S. Military installation that is doing experiments on elite soldiers as part of some sort of program where they're attempting to tap into that SAVAGERY that we have deeply embedded into us. The plan is create brilliantly instinctual killer soldiers that have no qualms about taking life.
So of course everything goes wrong. The soldiers are let lose or escape in some calamitous manner, and it's up to Rambo to track them down. AICN also has the latest one sheet for the next addition to the movie series, which looks like they are really banking on the feral wolf people idea. But we're more excited about the recent trends in Rambo movies and where this could lead the next film, death count wise.
If you don't remember how incredibly ridiculous the last Rambo film was please see this chart we stumbled upon. Basically, if trends continue, Rambo should be mowing down the wolf people at the rate of 3.2 bodies per minute... that's if they want to beat the last film, which seems like an impossible task. But if anyone can up the body count, John Rambo can.
