Trailer FrenzyA special place to find the newest trailers for movies and TV shows you're craving.

I’d love to show this Pride and Prejudice and Zombies trailer to my Mom. At the start, she’d probably be interested. “Oh, a nice period love story.” But as the story quickly becomes a bloody mess, who knows what she’d do? It’s such a fun, polarizing juxtaposition.

Whether or not the final movie can deliver on that, we’ll have to wait and see.

After years of false starts and casting rumors, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies finally comes to theaters February 5. Based on the Seth Grahame-Smith book, which itself is a parody of Jane Austin’s Pride and Prejudice, the film stars Lily James (Cinderella, Downton Abbey) as a martial arts and weapons expert who must find love in a 19th century England filled with zombies. She’s joined by Sam Riley, Jack Huston, Bella Heathcote, Douglas Booth, Lena Headey and Matt Smith.

The trailer, which is for the UK release and not the domestic one, certainly has the look and gore you’d expect from this adaptation. It’s got some great actors and lots of promise. The questions become, will horror fans turn out for a movie masked as a Jane Austin story? And will Jane Austin fans turn out for a zombie movie? Hopefully director Burr Steers balanced the two just right.

Here’s the UK poster too. The domestic trailer and poster will be out later this month.
