Back in 1992, Paul Reubens played Oswald Cobblepot’s snooty father in the movie Batman Returns. Now Pee-Wee Herman will play a different version of the Penguin’s dear old dad, this time on Gotham.

Entertainment Weekly reports the news from NYCC’s Gotham panel, where Robin Lord Taylor, who plays Oswald Cobblepot/the Penguin, was excited to announce the news:

“So we’re all familiar with Oswald’s mother, the fabulous, fabulous Carol Kane,” the actor said leading up to the news. “We don’t know a lot about his father… We just found out that I do have a father. And he will be showing up very soon, and he will be played by none other than Paul Reubens, a.k.a. Pee-wee Herman! He’s playing my dad! What! The! Hell!”

Reubens isn’t the only actor joining the cast. We’ve known for a while now that The Shield’s Michael Chiklis (who will always be The Commish in my heart) would be playing GCPD’s Captain Barnes, and you can see him in action in the sizzle reel below:

Seems like a chill dude.
