We loved the finale of The Legend of Korra, but there was one tiny thing that didn't happen in the episode's final moments that we were really hoping would happen. Fortunately, a fan animation has given us the moment we were missing. Spoilers ahead.

So we were really hoping that the series finale would end with a kiss between Korra and Asami as they stepped into the Spirit World. And while it was a very sweet and tender moment between the two women, whose relationship has grown more romantic over the last two seasons, the kiss didn't happen. So some fans have decided to fix that.

A few weeks ago, artist Drakyx posted her own animation of Korra and Asami kissing. It was so perfect that another fan decided to combine it with the final scene from the finale, letting us imagine that the camera cut away from Korra and Asami just a few seconds too early.

redditor Viralious posted the combined animation to r/TheLastAirbender.

DISCUSSION

I really hope the creators confirm Korrasami outright. Or least we get comics that do. I get that there was so much the network allows but really the amount of denial in people is outstanding insisting they are just good friends.

Insisting queer couples are just good friends is a long used method of erasure in culture and it saddens me one of the most exciting things on TV for me is marred by that.

Yes they didn't kiss, they really should have, but if Asami had been a guy people would not question whether they were a couple in the end, even without a kiss, given the exact same scenes.

That said, Korrasami 4 Evar!
