We've been hearing for months that the Imitation Game and Sherlock star, Benedict Cumberbatch, was in line to play the Sorcerer Supreme in Marvel's big movie in 2016. But now it's really official. Marvel has announced that Cumberbatch will be playing the surgeon who suffers an accident and gains mystic powers.

The movie comes out Nov. 4, 2016, and Marvel's announcement specifically mentions that Strange is a neurosurgeon who suffers a "horrific car accident" and then "discovers the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions." Just in case you thought they were changing it around.
