New World War Z trailer looks like 2012 with zombies

Trailer FrenzyA special place to find the newest trailers for movies and TV shows you're craving.

The new trailer for the much-troubled World War Z is out. And yes, there's a lot of Brad Pitt, and yes, there are zombies. But in lieu of fascinating political drama and heartbreaking tales of survival, we get a Roland Emmerich-worthy disaster flick, with reanimated bodies in lieu of earthquakes and rising tides.

We've known for some time that the film version of World War Z wasn't going to take the "oral history" tack that made the book so powerful — but this first trailer gives us a clearer sense of what we are in for. A lot of Brad Pitt's heroic journey to save the world, plenty of American military perspective, and zombies tearing down structures like mindless disaster-bots. It's not quite the zompocalypse we were hoping for. [Apple Trailers]

Ok, after watching the trailer, I understand why they made the zombies like "The Horde." because you have to have a way to make the zombies a true threat. With military grade weaponry, Zombies are not much of a threat... unless you got an unstoppable wave of the things coming your way en-masse. I mean a single AA-12 automatic shotgun is gonna stop a group of Zombies... but not 'The Wave." of undead death heading towards your face.
