New trailer for Shane Carruth's Upstream Color leaves us bewildered and curious

Trailer FrenzyA special place to find the newest trailers for movies and TV shows you're craving.

We are so excited for Primer director Shane Carruth's brand new Sundance movie Upstream Color. And this brand new trailer is only fanning our flame of curiosity. What is going on in this trailer? Why does Shane Carruth and his fellow actress look all banged up? What did that table do to Shane? Why the obsession with the flock of birds?

All we know about Upstream Color is from the Sundance logline, "A man and woman are drawn together, entangled in the life cycle of an ageless organism." Wild guess? Carruth is a Trill-like organism, hosting another creature in between the folds of his furrowed brow.

But what we do know is that on March 22nd, Upstream Color will get a theatrical release! So we won't have to wait too long for answers — but then again this is a Carruth movie, so maybe we'll never know.

Looks fine but I think the Pacific Rim trailer has ruined me. I am actually more excited fro that then I am for The Hobbit right now, even though I am going to see Jackson do Tolkien again in HFR IMAX in exactly 26 hours and 15 minutes.

I guess a movie now needs Jax Teller, Luther, GLaDOS, Kaiju and Mecha to get me excited. I'm jaded. I'm like some weird form of genre hipster.
