In an interview with the New York Times ABC's Paul Lee and NBC's Bob Greenblatt (both new studio presidents) admit that 2010's new TV shows were completely devoid of any fresh ideas.

Which is why they're reaching further afield for 2011, giving us fairytale cops and time-traveling colonists meeting dinosaurs. We can't wait!

Not science fiction at all, but I found out yesterday that the NBC sitcom Outsourced was cancelled. Seemed a lot fresher than most sitcoms out there... I'm really bummed that it won't be getting a second season.
