While Harris Loureiro (who filmed that Optimus Prime/Devastator battle we loved) may not have the giant special effects budget of the Transformers feature films, his stop-motion Transformers fan film is great fun to watch thanks to its choreography, sound effects, and those wonderful toys.

Loureiro mixed the stories from the cartoon, the 1986 movie, and the “All Hail Megatron” comics arc for his Transformers Generations movie. He says that his one regret about the film is that the toys were mostly on loan from friends, so he couldn’t add battle damage to them throughout the filming. He explains on YouTube that this took him six months to film and that he is planning a sequel.
