Megan Fox dropped from Transformers 3. Has she already been replaced?

Paramount and Michael Bay have dropped the second biggest money-maker, outside from the toy robots, from Transformers 3, Megan Fox. But have no fear — another girl is already up for the role of Shia Labeouf's love interest.

News first broke via Us Weekly that Paramount and Michael Bay have officially fired Megan Fox.
The report cites Fox's controversial comments a while back that, the Transformers series wasn't really about acting. She later apologized for those comments, as well as for comparing Michael Bay to Hitler, but apparently it was too little, too late.

Later, PR facilities revealed that it was Fox's decision to leave Transformers 3, but that is all neither here nor there — either way, she's gone.

And hours later, news of a replacement was already swirling around the internet. The Wrap is claiming that Prince of Persia star Gemma Arterton, is the front-runner to replace Fox. But is this dame worthy to replace she-who-sexily-stood-over-a car-engine? We say sure. Why not?

So, who else might get the role? The Wrap says other possible options are models Bar Rafaeli, Miranda Kerr and Brooklyn Decker. (Once again, Bay may not want much more than a fembot that can run and jump and look horrified.) Rafaeli and Kerr have reportedly both read for the casting director, but Arterton "makes the most sense," given her established blockbuster presence.

Whoever gets this part will have a pretty great supporting cast to bounce off of: John Malkovich, Frances McDorman, Patrick Dempsey, Alan Tudyk and (hopefully) John Turturro are all in the cast.
