The image was released via Vin Diesel's Facebook Page — this was the message the silver-eyed beast had for his fans:

Wow, thank you all for the many wonderful birthday wishes, great videos, images, music and words...

This is the third birthday Our collective has shared with me, for that I am grateful.

Vindiesel.com has many of the birthday wishes if you would like to see them, they are heartfelt and cool.

P.s. You all know how much I love concept art, well DT sent me an image for my birthday that I had to share...

Gracias por todo...

Thank you for the LOVE!

Good to know he's still excited about the film, even though a few months ago the actor took to the internet to discuss his salary woes. I think I speak for us all when I say, bring us more Riddick!

Pitch Black was good, sure, but at the risk of being a lone voice in a sea of haters, I thoroughly enjoyed Chronicles of Riddick. Sure, it was a big departure from Pitch Black, but to me, it was what a space epic should be. After watching it, I couldn't help but think "this is the epic scale that the Star Wars prequels attempted, but failed to reach." I think it would have worked better as a trilogy of movies as they originally wanted, but for the time they had, I felt like they did a great job, and for my money, it was the better of the two, and I am greatly anticipating another movie.
